Yellow/Blue Signature mug
Every once in a while, when I get time in my busy schedule, I try to let the clay and glazes take control of me, rather than the other way around. I enjoy exploring and playing with new shapes and textures - and the one-of-a-kind results that come out of the kiln! This beautiful mug measures 3-3/8" tall and 3-1/2" wide at the lip. It comfortably holds ten ounces of liquid and is dishwasher and microwave safe. The liner glaze is certified lead and cadmium-free. I could tell you that it took about more than an hour of my time to make this mug. But the truth is it has taken me twenty plus years of learning, honing my skills, and persevering through many failures in order to bring this mug into being. Enjoy using it as much as I enjoyed making it for you! Special Note about this mug: From time to time an iron impurity will be in the clay. When this impurity gets fired to the high glaze temperature required to melt the glazes, this impurity also melts. I prefer to think of these occasional occurrences as gifts from the kiln gods and in most cases these spots enhance the beauty of the one of a kind piece. You can see the spot in the top view photo and decide for yourself!
