I start every day drinking tea out of one of the big, cheerful mugs my brother, Owen, has made. And it's an excellent way to start the day. The idea that something so beautiful can be made out of mud is amazing; the idea that it's my brother who did it is downright cool. Plus our mom used to be a potter, too, so there's this tradition he's carrying on. And, as if that's not enough, let's talk practicalities: the generous sizing allows for a zesty amount of whatever gets you started in the morning; they're sturdy, every-day mugs; and they're perfect for wrapping your hands around when you've got some serious day-dreaming to do.
